Auroraflow Policies

How we are striving to keep you and our community safe

Cancer Policy

  • Clients Undergoing Active Cancer Treatment: If a client is currently undergoing active cancer treatment or taking specific medications related to their cancer treatment, the therapist has the discretion to decide whether or not to provide bodywork services. This decision is made to ensure the safety of the client and the therapist, considering the potential risks associated with bodywork during active cancer treatment.
  • Clients with Cancer Not Undergoing Active Treatment: If a client has cancer but is not currently undergoing active treatment, a doctor's note confirming it is safe for the client to receive bodywork must be provided. Upon receiving the doctor's note, the therapist will evaluate their comfort level and decide whether or not to provide bodywork services to the client.

COVID-19 Policy

Auroraflow's COVID-19 policy will change as the numbers increase and decrease in Durham. Check here for the most current status.

At Auroraflow, the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. We are committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment by implementing rigorous safety protocols. Here’s what we are doing to keep everyone as safe as possible:

For Clients:

1. Mask Policy: We encourage clients to wear masks during sessions, but it is not mandatory.

2. Reporting Symptoms: Notify the Front Desk immediately if you develop symptoms by emailing info@auroraflow.com or calling 919-229-9555.

2. Cancellation Policy: Clients who test positive for COVID-19 within 24 hours of their appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Due to the common familiarity with Covid, we ask our clients to take responsibility to test or communicate symptoms to us well before 24 hours of the appointment.  If an unexpected situation arises within the 24-hour window, please contact us to discuss potential exceptions to the fee.

For employees:

1. Mask Policy:

  • Our staff will be wearing KN95 masks in service rooms to ensure the highest level of protection. Masks are currently optional in open common spaces.

2. Health Monitoring:

  • Our team members are diligently monitoring their health. If they experience any symptoms, they are required to notify us immediately and follow appropriate protocols.

3. Enhanced Cleaning Protocols:

  • In-Room Cleaning: After each session, our staff will thoroughly wipe down high-touch areas, including face cradles and door knobs, using Clorox wipes.
  • End of Day: At the end of each day, all non-porous surfaces, including door knobs, are cleaned with Microban spray to ensure a high standard of hygiene.

4. Response to Positive COVID-19 Cases:

  • If a client reports testing positive for COVID-19 within three days after their visit, we will promptly notify any staff members who may have interacted with that client.
  • If a staff reports testing positive for COVID-19, we will promptly notify any clients who may have interacted with that staff member.
